A Bartow man was arrested on murder charges after he allegedly shot the father of a woman he had been dating, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Deputies responded at a. Friday to a call reporting a shooting in unincorporated Bartow.
They found a man dead inside a residence. Deputies talked to two witnesses at the residence and soon stopped a vehicle that was leaving the area. In case you missed it: Two year-olds arrested in fatal shooting of another teen at Bartow park. And: 'An absolute ambush.

Evidence and witness statements indicated that De Alejandro Rodriguez, 31, got into an argument with the victim, whose daughter he had been dating, the PCSO reported. De Alejandro Rodriguez shot the man and then fled with the weapon, the report said.
De Alejandro Rodriguez had one shotgun shell in his pocket and another in a bag when deputies detained him, the report said. He was charged Friday with first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed burglary with a firearm and tampering with a witness, among other charges.
The Sheriff's Office said the victim's daughter, with whom De Alejandro Rodriguez allegedly had a sexual relationship, is 17 years old. PCSO has been investigating the relationship since January, but the victim and her mother have been uncooperative, the agency said.
